I have been following an Australian, personal trainer on Insta for the past few months named Kayla Itsines. Her page caught my eye because she specializes in helping women achieve a certain "look". She notes on her page, that she has found that over the years, a lot of women want to achieve the same thing: a bikini body. Toned inner thighs/arms and a flat stomach, were among the most common goals she heard from her clients... not the ripped, muscular look some trainers try to achieve. This is my goal exactly at this point - and of course, a nice and toned butt lol. Some of her workouts in her short Insta clips were absolutely amazing. For someone to be so slender, I loved that she was so strong and healthy. That's what is important. If you creep on her page, you'll notice her performing some exercises that are just flat out amazing! Don't EVER judge a book by its cover.
She has been so inspirational and the transformations of those who do her guide have been nothing short of spectacular. This is what inspired me to get on the "12 Week Bikini Body Guide" challenge.
Now to explain what exactly the "Bikini Body Training Guide" is!
I know what you're thinking... a bit pricey. Well, here's how I look at it. We would spend nearly $40-$50 to go out to eat during the week if we had the opportunity; and probably on something that isn't too healthy. So, why not invest in something that in the long run won't only make us look better, but feel better too!
I personally decided just to purchase the training guide and follow my own diet plan. I find it hard to follow a daily recipe plan, especially because I may not like all of the meals. I also believe that I need to be able to do it on my own, because I can't follow the nutrition guide forever.
So, I've done it. I bought the guide and I will have it printed some time this week. I intend to start next week when I return to Grambling for school, which officially starts August 18th. I will have one free week to get into workout mode before classes start. I will be sharing photos and progress updates as I go along. I am excited to see what I can achieve once I dedicate myself to this new program! Follow me on this new journey and hopefully in 12 weeks I will be able to share my newest weight loss photo.
